Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for diverse client portfolios using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and investment accounts with 100% accuracy
- Process payroll and ensure timely tax filings (federal, state, local)
- Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly audits and year-end closings
- Optimize accounting workflows using automation tools like Xero and Bill.com
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel (advanced formulas/pivot tables), and accounting software
- Proven track record of managing multi-entity accounting systems
- Deep understanding of GAAP, IRS regulations, and North Carolina tax requirements
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero tolerance for errors
- Strong analytical skills and ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly
