Responsibilities
- Manage month-end/year-end closing processes for 15+ client portfolios
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
- Implement and maintain QuickBooks Online and Xero integrations
- Conduct bank reconciliations and variance analysis
- Support tax preparation documentation with external CPAs
- Mentor junior bookkeepers on accounting best practices
- Ensure SOX compliance and internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks/Xero and Excel
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing
- Strong understanding of GAAP and IRS regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance
- Proven ability to meet strict monthly deadlines
