Responsibilities
- Account Management: Manage the full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and adjusting entries, to ensure data integrity.
- Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all relevant financial laws, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Software Management: Oversee and maintain the company's accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero) and inventory tracking systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors, manage large volumes of data, and ensure high accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: High level of professionalism and ethical standards in handling sensitive financial data.
- Certifications: CPAs or CMA certifications are a plus but not required.
