Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage cash flow for 15+ client portfolios
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) using QuickBooks Online
- Assist with month-end closing processes and quarterly tax documentation
- Implement internal controls to ensure financial compliance with GAAP standards
- Collaborate with CPA firm during annual audits and tax season
- Train junior staff on bookkeeping best practices and software proficiency
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks certification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Proven experience managing multi-state payroll and sales tax filings
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for complex reconciliations
- Excellent communication abilities for client-facing financial reporting
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting platforms (Xero, Sage)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in fast-paced environment
