Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile complex general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Oversee full-cycle accounts payable/receivable processes including vendor management and collections
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Process multi-state payroll with tax compliance and year-end filings
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial systems
- Collaborate with CPAs during audit processes and tax season
- Maintain client financial data in QuickBooks Enterprise with 100% accuracy
- Train junior bookkeepers on financial best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (Associate's + 5 years experience acceptable)
- 5+ years bookkeeping experience with multi-state compliance
- QuickBooks Enterprise certification required
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Proven experience with payroll processing (ADP/Paychex preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP and IRS regulations
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for financial discrepancies
- Strong written communication for client reporting
