Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15+ SME clients using Xero and QuickBooks
- Prepare monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and year-end financial statements
- Oversee payroll processing and pension auto-enrolment compliance
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and control accounts monthly
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and accounting processes
- Liaise with auditors and tax authorities during compliance reviews
- Mentor junior bookkeepers and provide technical accounting guidance
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years post-qualification)
- Expert proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel functions
- Deep understanding of UK GAAP, HMRC regulations, and FRS 102
- Proven track record in managing multi-client portfolios
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for client/stakeholder interactions
