Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate digital and physical financial records using Xero and QuickBooks
- Process payroll monthly for 50+ employees with auto-enrolment compliance
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns and annual financial statements
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions weekly
- Manage accounts payable/receivable with strict 30-day cycles
- Generate management reports for client board meetings
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years UK-based bookkeeping experience
- Xero/QuickBooks certification or equivalent practical expertise
- Proven track record with multi-currency transactions
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- HMRC VAT payroll compliance knowledge
- ACA/CIMA part-qualified or equivalent
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
