Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 SME clients using Xero and QuickBooks
- Prepare monthly management accounts and VAT returns
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and control accounts
- Process payroll and pension contributions monthly
- Oversee month-end closing procedures with accuracy
- Implement process improvements using automation tools
- Provide financial insights to support client decision-making
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' UK-based bookkeeping experience
- AAT Level 4 or equivalent accounting qualification
- Advanced proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Proven experience managing multi-client portfolios
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams
