Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile accounts monthly
- Process payroll and manage VAT returns for 15+ SME clients
- Generate financial statements and management reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles
- Implement Xero/QuickBooks optimisation strategies
- Conduct quarterly financial reviews with stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years' bookkeeping experience with UK SMEs
- ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Xero/QuickBooks certification essential
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP
- Experience with multi-currency transactions
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical mindset
