Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero and QuickBooks platforms
- Prepare monthly management accounts and VAT returns
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
- Process payroll and manage employee expense reimbursements
- Assist in annual audits and HMRC compliance
- Develop financial reports for strategic decision-making
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' bookkeeping experience with UK SMEs
- ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or equivalent qualification
- Expertise in Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel (advanced functions)
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Proven ability to meet strict deadlines in fast-paced environments
