Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile complex multi-currency financial systems
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles with 99.9% accuracy
- Prepare statutory accounts and VAT returns compliant with UK GAAP
- Lead month-end closing processes and variance analysis
- Implement robust internal controls for financial data security
- Train junior staff on Xero and QuickBooks platforms
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' UK bookkeeping experience
- AAT Level 4 or equivalent qualification essential
- Advanced proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
- Proven track record with multi-currency transactions
- Deep understanding of UK tax legislation (HMRC)
- Excel expert with advanced pivot table/lookup skills
- ISTQB or equivalent financial controls certification preferred
