Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for 15+ SME clients using Xero and QuickBooks
- Prepare monthly management accounts and VAT returns with HMRC precision
- Oversee payroll processing and pension auto-enrolment compliance
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and control accounts monthly
- Assist with year-end statutory accounts preparation for auditors
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial workflows
- Provide proactive financial insights to client stakeholders
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent bookkeeping certification (AAT Level 4+)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in UK SME bookkeeping
- Advanced proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel
- Demonstrated knowledge of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with error reconciliation skills
- Strong communication skills for client relationship management
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
