Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) with detailed variance analysis
- Maintain accurate general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and adjustments
- Collaborate with CPAs during tax season to provide supporting documentation
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting
- Train junior bookkeepers on accounting software and best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification a plus
- Expert knowledge of payroll processing and tax compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail with proven analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration
