Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies through direct payer communication and appeals documentation
- Ensure HIPAA compliance while handling sensitive patient financial data
- Analyze aging reports to identify trends and implement process improvements
- Train junior billing staff on coding updates and regulatory changes
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately for optimal reimbursement
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) credential
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Demonstrated ability to reduce AR days by 15%+ in previous roles
- Strong analytical skills with experience in revenue cycle analytics tools
- Excellent written communication for patient correspondence and appeals
