Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing cycles including invoice generation, payment processing, and reconciliation
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient/provider inquiries with exceptional customer service
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend process improvements
- Collaborate with insurance verification teams to ensure accurate claim submissions
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and internal audit requirements
- Train junior staff on billing systems and best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with EMR/EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Medical Billing and Coding certification required
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and billing software (e.g., Athenahealth, NextGen)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial data
- Experience with third-party payer negotiations and claim resolution
- Proven ability to meet strict billing accuracy standards (98%+)
