Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 98%+ accuracy for Medicare/Medicaid/private payers
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and resolve billing discrepancies within SLAs
- Conduct audits of charge capture documentation to ensure coding compliance (ICD-10/CPT)
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve claim denials and payment delays
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant billing documentation in Epic EMR system
- Analyze denial trends and implement process improvements
- Train junior staff on billing protocols and regulatory updates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of healthcare billing experience with commercial/Medicare/Medicaid
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credentials required
- Expertise in Epic Resolute billing modules and Denial Management workflows
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and billing analytics tools
- Deep understanding of HIPAA, CMS, and Florida Medicaid billing guidelines
- Proven track record of reducing AR days by 15%+ in previous roles
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
