Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end medical billing processes including claim submission, follow-up, and resolution
- Ensure accurate coding (CPT/ICD-10) and compliance with HIPAA/AMA guidelines
- Reconcile accounts receivable and resolve billing discrepancies
- Collaborate with insurance providers and patients for payment resolution
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for leadership review
- Train junior billing staff on best practices and system protocols
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Excel and billing software (e.g., Medisoft)
- Certified Billing and Coding (CBC) or equivalent credential
- Strong knowledge of payer policies (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
