Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate insurance claims and patient invoices within strict deadlines
- Resolve billing discrepancies through meticulous account reconciliation
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers and patients to resolve payment issues
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and private payer regulations
- Generate monthly billing reports and analyze denial trends for process improvement
- Train staff on billing system updates and regulatory changes
- Collaborate with collections team to manage outstanding receivables
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with insurance claim submission
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EMR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot table and VLOOKUP capabilities
- Exceptional attention to detail with 99%+ accuracy in billing records
- Proven ability to manage high-volume accounts receivable cycles
