Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through proactive communication with insurance providers
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with HIPAA and CMS regulations
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance billing efficiency
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify coding accuracy and documentation
- Generate monthly financial reports and KPI dashboards for leadership
- Train junior staff on billing protocols and system utilization
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with insurance claim resolution
- Proficiency in Epic, Cerner, or NextGen EMR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) preferred
- Advanced knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving abilities and negotiation expertise
