Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing cycles for 50+ healthcare providers using Epic and NextGen systems
- Resolve complex insurance claim denials with 95%+ accuracy within 72 hours
- Reconcile AR reports monthly and identify process improvement opportunities
- Train staff on billing compliance updates (HIPAA, CMS guidelines)
- Generate monthly revenue reports for executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with collections team on aged accounts over 90 days
- Implement new billing protocols to reduce denials by 15%
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and Medicare/Medicaid
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and EOB analysis
- Proficiency in medical billing software (Epic, Athena, or NextGen)
- CCBS or AAPC certification preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Proven track record of reducing claim denials below 5%
- Strong written communication for patient billing correspondence
