Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate insurance claims and patient invoices within HIPAA-compliant systems
- Resolve billing discrepancies through meticulous audit trails and client communication
- Utilize Epic EMR and NextGen billing software for charge entry and payment posting
- Manage accounts receivable aging reports and implement collection strategies
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation supports billing compliance
- Prepare monthly revenue reports and identify process improvement opportunities
- Train staff on billing protocols and regulatory updates (CMS, HIPAA)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with insurance claim submission
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expertise in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficient with Epic EMR and NextGen billing platforms
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage high-volume accounts receivable cycles
- Excellent communication skills for resolving client inquiries
- Familiarity with Maryland Medicaid and Medicare billing requirements
