Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end medical billing processes including charge entry, claim submission, and follow-up
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient account issues through precise documentation
- Analyze aging reports to optimize collections and reduce AR days
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify coding accuracy (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Train junior staff on billing systems and compliance protocols
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports for leadership
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Expertise in Epic or Meditech EHR systems and claims scrubbing tools
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and billing software
- Strong problem-solving abilities and customer-focused communication
