Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Accurately process and verify invoices to ensure timely payment and accurate revenue recognition.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable and payable to maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Claims Management: Handle insurance claims and follow up on outstanding balances with minimal supervision.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize billing software (e.g., QuickBooks, Cerner, Epic) to generate reports and update patient/client records.
- Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company financial policies to ensure data security and compliance.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding billing inquiries and disputes.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical or financial billing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with billing software (e.g., Meditech, AthenaHealth).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure 100% data accuracy.
