Responsibilities
- Process and verify insurance claims and patient invoices with 99% accuracy
- Resolve billing discrepancies through direct communication with payers and patients
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Analyze aging reports to optimize cash flow and reduce outstanding balances
- Collaborate with coding teams to ensure proper charge capture
- Generate monthly billing reports for leadership review
- Train staff on billing system updates and process improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in healthcare or insurance
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expertise in Epic, Medisoft, or similar EHR billing systems
- Advanced knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or related field
