Responsibilities
- Process complex transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and currency exchanges with 100% accuracy
- Proactively identify cross-selling opportunities for banking products and services
- Resolve customer inquiries regarding account balances, fraud alerts, and digital banking tools
- Execute daily reconciliation procedures and maintain strict cash handling protocols
- Mentor junior tellers on operational procedures and compliance standards
- Contribute to branch security initiatives and fraud prevention measures
- Participate in quarterly branch audits and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in retail banking or customer service role
- Proven track record in cash handling and transaction processing
- FINRA Series 6 or 7 securities license preferred
- Advanced proficiency in banking software (e.g., Fiserv, Jack Henry)
- Exceptional communication skills with multilingual abilities a plus
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to regulatory compliance
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Valid New York State Notary Public certification preferred
