Responsibilities
- Process complex financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments with 100% accuracy
- Proactively identify and cross-sell banking products (credit cards, loans, accounts) to meet customer needs
- Resolve customer inquiries and disputes with empathy and professionalism, maintaining 95%+ satisfaction rates
- Balance cash drawer and reconcile daily transactions while adhering to strict compliance protocols
- Maintain branch security standards and implement anti-fraud measures
- Train junior tellers on operational procedures and customer service excellence
- Collaborate with relationship managers to support high-value client needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of cash handling experience in a financial institution
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in banking or retail
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations (Reg CC, BSA/AML)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to explain complex products simply
- Proficiency in banking software (e.g., Fiserv, Jack Henry)
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Associates degree in Finance/Business or equivalent experience
- Notary public certification preferred
