Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Accurately and efficiently process a high volume of invoices, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and documentation.
- Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, answering inquiries and resolving billing discrepancies promptly.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of AP sub-ledgers to ensure accuracy and identify variances.
- Compliance: Ensure all AP activities comply with company policies, GAAP standards, and federal regulations.
- Reporting: Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes by providing accurate AP reports and analyses.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and implement best practices in accounts payable automation.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in a corporate or high-volume environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for vendor interactions.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
