Responsibilities
- Manage the AP Process: Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable cycle, including processing invoices, verifying data, and ensuring timely payments to vendors.
- Reconciliation & Reporting: Perform monthly reconciliations of vendor statements and AP sub-ledgers, generating detailed reports for management review.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors in the AP workflow.
- Vendor Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, resolving discrepancies and answering inquiries professionally.
- System Management: Utilize ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) to maintain accurate financial records and audit trails.
- Compliance: Ensure all payments adhere to company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in Accounts Payable or a similar financial role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with accounting software.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and manage large volumes of data with precision.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
- GAAP Knowledge: Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
