Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns and monthly management accounts.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audit files.
- Process payroll and ensure timely employee reimbursements.
- Provide financial analysis and budgeting support to senior management.
- Maintain strict compliance with HMRC regulations and internal control procedures.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or AAT) is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a UK-based accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks).
- Strong working knowledge of UK tax laws, payroll, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Advanced Excel skills are highly desirable.
