Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with UK GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end closing processes and reconciliations across 15+ accounts
- Manage VAT returns and HMRC correspondence with 100% accuracy
- Develop financial forecasting models for 3-5 year business planning
- Oversee payroll processing for 50+ employees with weekly payouts
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements
- Mentor junior accountants using Xero and QuickBooks platforms
Qualifications
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified or equivalent professional certification
- Minimum 5 years' experience in UK accounting practices
- Expertise in Xero, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven track record of managing multi-currency transactions
- Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation (Corporation Tax, PAYE, VAT)
- Experience with Sage 200 and SAP financial modules
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error reconciliation history
