Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, reconciling general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and local tax reporting.
- Oversee payroll processing to ensure all timesheets and deductions are correct.
- Conduct internal audits and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and depreciation schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and federal/state tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
