Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse monthly/quarterly financial statements ensuring UK GAAP compliance
- Manage complex general ledger reconciliations and account analysis
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Lead month-end closing procedures and variance analysis
- Develop and maintain internal controls for financial reporting
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting initiatives
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent professional certification
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in UK/EU markets
- Advanced proficiency in Xero, Sage, and Microsoft Excel (VBA preferred)
- Deep understanding of UK tax legislation (HMRC compliance)
- Experience with multi-currency transactions and international accounting standards
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proven track record of process improvement in finance operations
