Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting including month-end closes and reconciliations
- Prepare accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing (weekly)
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis initiatives
- Develop internal controls and process improvements
- Collaborate with auditors and tax authorities
- Mentor junior accounting staff
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in senior accounting role within UK finance sector
- Expertise in UK tax regulations and payroll systems
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Sage/QuickBooks)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven leadership experience
- Experience with multi-currency transactions
