Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Manage VAT returns and corporation tax compliance
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable workflows
- Develop and maintain financial control systems
- Collaborate with auditors during statutory audits
- Mentor junior accounting staff
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP)
- Proficient in Sage 50/Xero accounting software
- Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation
- Proven experience in SME accounting
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
