Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and coordinate with external auditors during annual reviews.
- Budgeting: Collaborate with management to develop and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in the finance department.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Attributes: Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
