As a Senior Accountant at Apex Financial Partners, you will play a crucial role in our day-to-day operations, ensuring our financial reporting is accurate and compliant. Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the finance department to increase efficiency.
- Team Support: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support the external audit process.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and discrepancies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
