Responsibilities
- Prepare and examine financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Manage general ledger functions, including account reconciliation and monthly close processes.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders and management.
- Conduct audits and internal control reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Collaborate with the tax department to prepare tax returns and ensure timely filing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
