Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Nashville, TN. Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in the budgeting process and provide variance analysis to management.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- CPA certification or CMA designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
