Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP.
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries and reconciliations are accurate and timely.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and present financial reports to senior management.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and tax requirements.
- Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on complex accounting issues.
- Assist with external audits and coordinate with external auditors.
Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar Senior Accountant role within the UK.
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and current tax legislation.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
