What You Will Do:
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of financial data, ensuring full compliance with UK GAAP and regulatory standards. You will play a pivotal role in strategic financial planning and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP.
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end audits and tax filings for HMRC.
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide variance analysis reports.
- Ensure strict compliance with all financial regulations and internal controls.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes efficiently.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks preferred).
- Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and HMRC requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
