Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform complex account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including vendor management and billing.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis for management reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
