Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including Balance Sheets and P&L accounts.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with strict adherence to UK GAAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of VAT returns and corporation tax computations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage inter-company transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with external auditors.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end reporting cycle for the management team.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA qualified or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar Senior Accountant role within the UK.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks).
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
