Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing variance analysis to senior management.
- Manage tax compliance requirements, including the preparation and filing of state and federal tax returns.
- Conduct internal audits and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with external auditors during year-end audits and other financial reviews.
- Utilize financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) to streamline reporting and ensure data accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Experience working in the Sacramento region or a similar market is preferred.
