Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end medical billing processes for 500+ patient accounts
- Verify insurance eligibility and resolve claim denials within 48 hours
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger with EHR systems weekly
- Ensure HIPAA/GRC compliance in all billing documentation
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize charge capture accuracy
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports
- Train staff on billing software updates and compliance changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient/ambulatory settings
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR billing modules
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and CMS guidelines
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot table and VLOOKUP capabilities
- Proven track record of reducing AR days by 15%+
