Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial reports are accurate and submitted on time.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger accounts, perform bank reconciliations, and audit financial data for discrepancies.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations.
- Streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices for remote bookkeeping systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast budgets and provide strategic financial insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA Candidate designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of internal controls, GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
