Responsibilities
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
- Conduct variance analysis and financial forecasting
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Lead audits and coordinate with external tax authorities
- Implement process improvements using accounting software (Xero/QuickBooks)
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent professional certification
- 5+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting
- Expertise in UK tax compliance and VAT regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience in fintech or SaaS industries preferred
- Proven ability to work independently in remote environments
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting
