Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger accounting and ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist with year-end audits, tax preparations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Monitor budgets and provide variance analysis to management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is a strong plus.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of tax laws, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
