Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with variance reporting for executive stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and industry-specific financial standards
- Lead account reconciliations and internal audit coordination
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
- Implement process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite)
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and SOX compliance
- Proven ability to manage complex month-end closes and audits
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with multi-state tax filings and international accounting standards
