Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process optimization
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX regulations, and industry-specific accounting standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes and implement internal controls for financial integrity
- Prepare and present financial statements to stakeholders with clear, actionable insights
- Maintain and improve accounting systems, ensuring data accuracy and system security
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public and/or private sector exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or equivalent accounting software
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, audit preparation, and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex financial data into strategic insights
- Strong attention to detail and proven track record of meeting tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience with remote work and virtual collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Asana)
