Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed reporting to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and review audit schedules and documentation.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and financial policies to mitigate risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree (CPA/ACCA preferred).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax compliance regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities effectively.
